the ELEVATOR PITCH
This is a concept from the team behind Velvet Taco! The first location opened in 2019 after a stint in Plano, Texas’ Legacy Hall as a food stall (love learning more about beginnings). The menu features locally raised, organic Wagyu beef sliders, with classic fast casual American sides like waffle fries, onion rings, and shakes (they have vegetarian options too in case you were wondering). I enjoyed how fun-sized the sliders were, which is great for when you want a burger but don’t want to feel super heavy/overstuffed afterwards!

honest reviews coming at you 👇

Classic Wagyu Slider (1 slider): the beef wagyu patty was so tender and well seasoned, deliciously executed! (they always cook it medium, so it’ll be slightly pink in the middle) I thought the comeback sauce, pickles, and American cheese altogether made a well-rounded burger profile. The slider bun was the soft chew of a King’s Hawaiian Original Hawaiian Sweet Roll. (rating: 8/10)

👉 Half & Half: loved that they offered this option to get half waffle fries, half onion rings, because I wanted to sample both! The waffle fries were on the crisp and starchy end versus light and airy (i.e., the kind Chick-Fil-A is famous for), so I wasn’t too much of a fan. The onion rings looked well-battered, but when you began to bite into it, the breading started to fall apart and you get the classic frustration of a string of onion being pulled out and leaving shards of fried batter to be eaten like chips.
